Once there was no school in a remote revenue village like Bali in undivided Kamrup district. Some education lovers felt the necessity of a school in the locality for the children. Out of such a thought of some relentless persons grew the seed of the school in 1964. The school once served children from both sides of the NF Railway track but now the two-way railway track has prevented many guardians of the north side from sending their offspring to the school. The school has not received significant financial grants since its inception. Mrs Hiran Deka, Retd Subjec-Teacher(Economics) and Akshay Talukdar, present Principal, received Awards of Proficiency to Teachers on Teachers' Day (District level) in 2019 and 2025 respectively. Notable alumni of the school are Dr Nirada Devi, SCERT Director, Late Deben Rajbongshi, Agriculture Scientist, Jorhat, Dr Dinamani Bhagabati, Retd HOD, Geography, Nalbari College & Retd Registrar, Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit University, Annada Prasad Sarma, Retd Chief Engineer (PWD, Assam), Dr Jnanada Prasad Sarma, Paediatrician, Dr Hitesh Sarma, Anaesthesia Super Specialist, Navadeep Hospital and many lecturers, engineers, etc.
