Swahid Mukunda Kakati Vidyapith High school

Swahid Mukunda Kakati Vidyapith High School has a rich history of academic excellence. The M.E. Section was established in 1971, and the High School Section was started in 1976. In 2017, as per the Government's amalgamation order, the M.E. Section was merged with the High School Section, and the institution was renamed Swahid Mukunda Kakati Vidyapith High School.
The school has achieved several remarkable milestones. In 1983, a student of the school received the National Scholarship. The school recorded a 100% pass percentage in the HSLC Examination in 1986. In 2002, Sri Rameswar Lahkar, an alumnus, secured the highest marks in Hindi in the HSLC Examination across Assam. The school has also encouraged participation in science activities, with students representing the district at the State Child Science Congress in dergaon session in 2002. In 2021, alumnus Sri Tulashi Ranjan Kalita secured ACS Rank 16 in the APSC Examination. The school has consistently produced satisfactory results in Gunotsav and has received an A+ grade four times.
